UTair Catering Operations
Over the years, the ZapSibCatering has become a leading provider of catering services in the Tyumen region and the largest catering service provider in Russia.
In 2009, UTair catering operations serviced 91 airlines reaching a total of more than four million passengers.
At the beginning of 2010 ZapSibCatering comprised 33 companies, including 3 industrial kitchens at airports in Surgut, Roshchino and Khanty-Mansiysk totaling 6,050 sqm, seating capacity for 588 individuals and a total production capacity of 14,000 individual meals per day.
ZapSibCatering also operates facilities at the airports of Surgut, Roshchino, Vnukovo and Khanty-Mansiysk equipped for full service exterior and interior aircraft and helicopter washing and pre-flight cabin prep for proper aircraft maintenance and the comfort of passengers.
ZapSibCatering offers a full range of services for regular, registered and charter flights operated by UTair Aviation and third-party airlines. Within the framework of all contracted airline services, ZapSibCatering maintains high quality catering and cabin service contracts with industry professionals in 68 cities in Russia and abroad.
ZapSibCatering has developed and produces more than 200 types of meals for passengers in business, comfort-economy and economy classes and for aircraft personnel. In addition, the company has developed a corporate standard for all onboard service classes of services.
ZapSibCatering specializes in:
• Production, storage and delivery of catering to aircraft;
• Aircraft services often not included at FBOs, including exterior washing, interior cleaning and pre-flight cabin prep;
• Stocking soft cabin furnishings and service equipment;
• Stocking and delivery of printed materials for aircraft;
• Food services;
• Retail services.
Quality Management and Food Safety Systems:
In June 2006 ZapSibCatering was certified with ISO international certificate 9001:2000 for Quality Management Systems and in March 2007 the company earned HACCP certification DS 3027:2002 for Food Safety Management. The certificates confirm ZapSibCatering’s commitment to providing high quality services for its customers and continuous improvement of operational efficiency.
In its commitment to maintain up to date standards for quality management and safety, has successfully completed re-certification under the upgraded international ISO standard 9001:2008 for Quality Management.
The audit resulted in official acknowledgement by acclaimed certification assessors BVQI that ZapSibCatering meets all the requirements for the new version of the international quality management standard ISO 9001:2008 and fully complies with standards for Russian certification ¹ RU227409 for operations including “exterior washing and interior cabin cleaning and pre-flight prep of aircraft, for supplying aircraft with soft cabin furnishings and periodicals”.
2010 Development Strategy:
ZapSibCatering development goals for 2010 include:
Continued development of service enterprises in the largest and most important airports – Ufa, Tyumen and Surgut.
The development of vendor trade in Surgut and Tyumen.
Achieving certification upgrade to the new international ISO 22000:2005 standard for Food Safety Management Systems by September, 2010.
